Almond trees are protected in Costa Rica, due to a bird which makes it home exclusively in these trees, so we imported our solid 4" X 8" Almond beams from Nicaragua. Almond wood has a beautiful rich grain. It is extremely slow growing which makes the wood
very dense and extremely heavy. Each beam weighs 700-1000 Lbs.
Our carpenters are sanding them and sealing them with a flat satin varnish.
