Side view of the smoke chamber.  The flue and the smoke chamber are both fabricated from 3/16" steel.  To ensure the expanding heated metal does not crack the concrete, we will wrap them in an insulation that will burn up, when heated. 
This will leave plenty of room for the metal to expand.
